Corpora

Corpora is a very useful tool if we want to check the use of a particular expression.
As an example, we will look for the expression on thin ice at the British National Corpus (BNC) webpage.
After entering the expression on the tool, it gives us information about the frequency of the expression, shown with the number 17. This number corresponds with the number of pieces of text found which contain the expression.
